HASCO Components is seeking a self-motivated RF technical sales manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and “hunter” mentality to successfully leverage technical sales experience with RF, microwave, and millimeter wave components to drive National sales. This experienced sales representative will also provide engineered solutions designed to remove sales barriers and create pull-through sales and design-in opportunities to meet individual revenue and customer growth goals.

Qualified candidates must reside in Southern California and be prepared to work an 80/20 split, with 80 percent in an inside sales environment, and 20 percent traveling to engage with current and potential customers nationwide. Travel to product showcases and other sales events is also required.

Additionally, the technical sales manager will serve as technical support, assisting sales and marketing teams with technical questions and product specification alignment efforts.

KEY RESPONIBILITIES

Sales Team Management

  • Hire, nurture & retain a high-performing internal sales team.
  • Manages the daily activities of the inside sales team and functions
  • Develop and manage lucrative external sales rep relationships and collaborative sales strategies.

Drive & Support Technical Sales

  • Identify and review engineering specifications to secure sales opportunities
  • Use knowledge of electronic engineering principles to sell RF, Microwave and Millimeter wave components and services.
  • Work with OEM, CS and RF Design House on engineering, development and test projects
  • Travel locally 20%+ in the territories of Ventura County
  • Become proficient in selling HASCO’s franchised component lines.
  • Serve as the internal technical sales liaison with other departments, including the rep company, for quotation or order completion.
  • Attend factory training and informal product overview sessions provided by key suppliers during field sales activity.
  • Continuously work to find and secure new leads using a variety of methods available (calling, face-to-face meetings, networking, social media, leads from suppliers, etc.).

Strategic Planning

  • Develop strategic sales strategies to increase year-over-year sales revenue.
  • Develop targeted sales strategies to penetrate and grow untapped and non-performing sales territories.
  • Serve as the primary sales stakeholder and member of the strategic planning team.
  • Perform customer discovery and recommend appropriate products and/or engineered solutions designing in new configurations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited course of study, in electronic engineering, with a preferred emphasis in RF and Microwave electronics, or significant test and measurement lab experience.
  • Extensive (7 to 10 years) of b2b technical sales experience in RF and Microwave Electronics.
  • Broad experience with electronic components and RF & Microwave system applications, including systems for military, aerospace, and commercial industries.
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 and meet export control compliance requirements
  • Creative & Critical Thinking: Capacity to independently and creatively solve problems through strong RF and communications technical background
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including listening, written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Decision Making and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to take action in solving strategic business and technical problems in-line with the overall goals of the customer and company.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Possess and uses the skills of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management regarding customers and staff.
  • Organized: Note taking, action tracking, and time management independence are important for this role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and database tools (CRMs, in particular).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Must pass an employment background check.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
