Position Summary

Prepares estimates to achieve company gross profit margin goal, materials take off and general coordination for initial job planning. Identifies materials required for job and provides ongoing job activities leading up to shipment or completions.

Essential Duties

  • Provides response to customers' calls and issues within 24
  • Ensures sufficient bid volume is achieved to support company revenue
  • Prepares estimates consistent with format or guidelines provided and maximize utilization of Estimating System for preparation of estimates and job documents. Ensures estimates are consistently submitted by the expected delivery date and consistently follows up with customer leading up to bid award.
  • Provides outside sales force with support such as preparation of internal documents for order processing, production and expediting delivery.
  • Provide customers with technical support as it relates to specifications, plans, products or services
  • Performs project management functions such as identification of job requirements, performs takeoffs, prepares bill of materials, performs or coordinates procurement of supplies, materials and equipment, schedules project, coordinates job activities to achieve completion within budget, on schedule and customer satisfaction achieved.
  • The Inside Sales Representative assumes profit and loss responsibility for assigned jobs by ensuring jobs are estimated to achieve gross profit margin and project management support provided to ensure jobs are completed within
  • Resolve any customer complaints and follows up on any warranty issues and other claims with
  • Manage the conversion of accepted proposals into properly completed job and Ensure the necessary daily coordination, documentation and communications to facilitate the flow and control of project costs and information required to ensure the organized completion of assigned jobs/projects within the project budget, to meet the customer's needs and
  • Attend sales events and customer based entertainment
  • Update weekly reports / key performance indicators

Work Environment

  • This position will be working primarily indoors in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment and occasionally requires the employee visit customers' facilities and job sites with varying temperature conditions, some similar to outdoor conditions. The normal auto and air Travel hazards will apply. Travel will be in all types of weather including heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with snow conditions possible.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be higher in other areas or when visiting customers' or vendor

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and provide technical product and specifications input for estimating process
  • Requires sufficient mathematical skills to compute prices and perform technical

Education

  • High School graduate with related work experience in HDPE products, fabrication & fusion sales or an equivalent combination of
  • Vocational training in HDPE products, fabrication and fusion with a minimum of five years HDPE products, fabrication and fusion or similar

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must pass a Drug Test
  • Must pass a Background Check
  • Must pass Pre-Employment Tests (if applicable)
  • Must pass Pre-Employment Physical

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 Years Experience with HDPE Shop and Field Fabrication
  • 2 Years Experience in Inside Sales / Account Management

Authority

The Inside Sales Representative has full operating authority to fulfill the responsibilities of the position as described in Job Responsibilities Section of this Job Description, within company policy. He/she may delegate portions of this authority to direct subordinates for executing directives and enforcing Policies and Procedures. However, he/she retains total responsibility and accountability for the success of the operations assigned to him/her.


He/she has authority to agree on final selling price of job within the minimum gross profit goal established. Must get prior authorization to sell job below minimum gross profit threshold.


Authorized to present proposals with sales discount within established approved guidelines, SATISFYING GROSS PROFIT MARGINS ESTABLISHED. Can take action, no higher contact necessary.


After receipt of confirmed order, authorized to allocate or purchase materials and supplies, equipment, subcontractor and/or services, included in original job estimate. Can take action, no higher contact required. Must obtain authorization before acting to purchase materials not included in original job budget.


He/She is authorized to negotiate with vendors and subcontractors and agree on prices and acceptable terms. Can take action, no higher contact required.


Prepares change order forms, documents work required and obtains customers' approval. Provides Production Manager or assigned with information and authorization to proceed with work.


Authorized to contact customers and handle all Project Management issues, communicate job start and completion times and to provide Production Manager with changes in schedule to adjust job completion time.


Signs such documents as may be necessary in the name of the company with prior approval of the Vice President Sales & Marketing.
